Winston M. Ashurst, MD was born and raised in Montgomery, AL. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1981. Dr. Ashurst completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 1985. Dr. Ashurst and Dr. Ralph M. Garrard started Physicians for Women in 1994. Dr. Ashurst is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Ashurst is accepting both OB and GYN patients in our Montgomery and Prattville offices.

Ralph M. Garrard, MD
Ralph M. Garrard, MD graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1977 and the Tulane School of Medicine in 1981. Dr. Garrard completed his post-graduate training at the Medical University of South Carolina. Along with Dr. Winston M. Ashurst,
Dr. Garrard started Physicians for Women in 1994. Dr. Garrard is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Garrard is accepting new GYN patients in our Montgomery and Prattville offices. -
Byron P. Lawhon, MD
Byron P. Lawhon, MD graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1989. Dr Lawhon attended medical school through the Navy Scholarship Program and graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in 1993. Dr. Lawhon is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lawhon is accepting both OB and GYN patients in our Montgomery and Prattville offices.

William A. Newman, III, MD, joined Physicians for Women in 2004. Dr Newman is a native of Montgomery. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1991. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Newman is accepting both GYN and OB patients in our Montgomery and Prattville offices.

Jennifer J. Logan, MD
Jennifer J. Logan, MD graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in 2004.
Dr. Logan completed her residency program in June of 2008 and joined Physicians for Women the following July. Dr. Logan is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Winston “McCain" Ashurst, II, MD joined Physicians for Women in 2010. Dr. McCain graduated from Birmingham Southern College in 2002. He graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2006 and completed his residency at the University of South Alabama Medical School in 2010. Dr. McCain earned his MBA at Auburn University in 2015. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. McCain is accepting new OB and GYN patients in our Montgomery and Greenville offices
